MOSCOW. May 22 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry has reported downing a Ukrainian Mil Mi-8 helicopter in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
"Air defense systems downed an Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of Lozovoye of the Donetsk People's Republic," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Monday.
Russian forces have also intercepted five rounds of HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and destroyed 17 Ukrainian drones in different areas in the past 24 hours, he said.
