Kozinka resident in Russia's Belgorod region killed by Ukrainian military - governor

VORONEZH. May 23 (Interfax) - A resident of Russia's Belgorod region has been killed by Ukrainian military action, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

"We have losses. A peaceful resident of the village of Kozinka has died by the hands of Ukraine's armed forces. (...) His wife with injuries is in our hospital and receiving all necessary assistance," Gladkov said on Telegram on Tuesday.

Gladkov said on Monday that a Ukrainian sabotage group infiltrated the Graivoron district. According to the latest update, 13 civilians have been injured. A woman, b. 1941, died from heart failure while being evacuated to safety.

Residents of the Graivoron district were evacuated to temporary accommodation centers in seven districts of the region.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that the Ukrainian forces that infiltrated the Belgorod region had been eliminated.
