MINSK. May 23 (Interfax) - Poland is deploying troops near its border with Belarus, the Belarusian Defense Ministry's official television channel VoenTV said on Tuesday.
"There has been information that the Polish troop procurements inspectorate is urgently building forward bases for home front logistics for the 16th Mechanized Division. Two facilities will appear near Grajewo and Kolno situated within 70km and 110km from the Belarusian border," the report said.
The completion deadline is June 15, 2023, it said.
The Division "could now be deployed near the Belarusian border proper and is becoming fully ready for military action in this area," the report said.
No explanation was provided for Poland's setting up army rear services, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said.
