MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian saboteurs who attacked Russia's Belgorod region are being identified, transport vehicles, weapons and ammunition used by the group have been found and seized, the National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) said.
"Investigative and policing measures are being undertaken to identify the assailants and all the circumstances of the incident," NAC said in a statement.
The head of the crisis management center in the Belgorod region, who is the head of the FSB regional branch, has now decided to end the counterterrorist operation and cancel the relevant legal regime across the Belgorod region, it said.
"The transport vehicles, automatic guns and ammunition that the sabotage and reconnaissance group used have been found and seized. Bomb disposal experts have cleared the territory of standard and improvised explosive devices," NAC said.
