Russian, Chinese governments working to implement agreements reached during Xi's visit to Moscow - Russian PM

BEIJING. May 24 (Interfax) - The Russian and Chinese governments are coordinating the implementation of the agreements reached during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow in March, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

He is holding talks with Chinese State Council Premier Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

"Decisions made by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the president of China defined strategic guidelines for broader interaction in eight priority areas. The governments of Russia and China are doing coordinated work to implement the agreements reached at the summit level," Mishustin said at a meeting with Li in the expanded format that involves Russian government members and representatives of state corporations and financial institutions.

Russian-Chinese relations "have reached an unprecedentedly high level, they are characterized with respect for each other's interests and aspiration for joint countering of new threats caused by the increasing turbulence on the global stage and illegal pressure of sanctions imposed by the collective West," he said.

"As our Chinese friends say, we can move mountains when we're united," Mishustin said.

Mishustin relayed greetings and best wishes from Putin to Li and recalled their recent phone call, which "addressed every item on the bilateral agenda in detail." "I could feel your cordiality and energy," he said.
