MOSCOW. May 24 (Interfax) - Air defense has downed a drone in Russia's Belgorod region, Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
"Air defense has downed a drone in the Belgorod region. According to the preliminary information, there are no casualties," Gladkov said on Telegram.
Earlier, the governor reported a bomb dropped on a road in the city of Belgorod. There are no casualties there either, according to the preliminary information.
Border territories of the Belgorod region have sporadically come under attack from Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Civilian casualties have been reported. The region has declared the yellow (high) level of terrorist alert and a state of emergency in 15 border settlements.
