Russia retaliates against sanctions in different ways, but not all measures made public - Ryabkov

MOSCOW. May 24 (Interfax) - Russia has been responding to sanctions in different ways, but not all retaliatory measures have been made public, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Wednesday.

"Retaliatory measures can vary. Apart from symmetric and asymmetric ones, there are measures that are publicly announced, and there are measures that are not made public," Ryabkov said when asked by reporters whether Moscow would retaliate for the sanctions imposed by Washington on the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, and whether the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency could be targeted by such retaliatory measures.

"Every package of our countermeasures is thoroughly prepared, including in an interagency format. And there is currently nothing more to add to this picture that already exists and is publicly visible, including since last week," he said.
