Arsenals of two Ukrainian Armed Forces brigades destroyed in DPR - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. May 24 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry has reported the destruction of ammunition depots of two brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

"Ammunition depots of the 10th Mountainous Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the 112th Territorial Defense Brigade were destroyed near Slavyansk and Grigorovka of the Donetsk People's Republic," Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Wednesday.

"In the Donetsk area, units of the southern group of forces, aircraft, and artillery have killed up to 150 Ukrainian troops and destroyed one tank, two armored personnel carriers, two armored fighting vehicles, and three automobiles," Konashenkov said.

An ammunition depot of the 54th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was destroyed near Verkhnekamenskoye in the DPR, he said.

"In the Krasny Liman sector, the central group of forces used tactical aircraft, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems to strike enemy units near Chervonaya Dibrova and Nevskoye of the Lugansk People's Republic [LPR], Torskoyev and Grigorovka of the Donetsk People's Republic," he said.

The Ukrainian army's losses in said sector included over 60 troops, two armored fighting vehicles, three automobiles, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, and a D-30 howitzer, he said.

In the Kupyansk sector, air force and artillery strikes and actions of the western group of forces caused damage to enemy units in the Kharkov region and the LPR, he said.

Actions of two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were also disrupted in the Kharkov region, Konashenkov said.

"Over 40 Ukrainian troops were killed and two armored fighting vehicles and D-20 and D-30 howitzers were destroyed over the past 24 hours," he said.

"In the southern Donetsk and Zaporozhye sectors, aircraft and artillery of the eastern group of forces struck enemy units near Ugledar and Shevchenko of the Donetsk People's Republic and near Malaya Tokmachka, Marfopol, and Kamenskoye of the Zaporozhye region, he said.

Up to 125 Ukrainian troops were killed and injured and three automobiles and a Msta-B howitzer were destroyed in said areas in the past 24 hours, he said.

"In the Kherson sector, up to 25 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, and a Msta-B howitzer and two automobiles were fired upon and destroyed in the past 24 hours," Konashenkov said.
