Talks held thus far with Baku give rise to cautious optimism - Armenian FM

YEREVAN. May 24 (Interfax) - Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has said that he has cautious optimism about Yerevan-Baku peace treaty talks.

"The talks that have thus far taken place in Washington, Brussels and Moscow give cause for cautious optimism. This is my personal view," Mirzoyan said during a government Q&A session in the Armenian parliament on Wednesday.

He went on to express hope that Armenian-Azerbaijani talks would continue.

The two countries' foreign ministers, Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, met in Washington on May 1-4, in Brussels on May 14 and in Moscow on May 19.
