ST. PETERSBURG. May 24 (Interfax) - The St. Petersburg City Court has left physicist Anatoly Maslov, charged with high treason, in custody, a representative of the joint press service for St. Petersburg courts told Interfax on Wednesday.
"The measure of restraint has been extended until November 10," the press officer said.
Earlier on May 12, the St. Petersburg City Court registered a criminal case against Maslov, a physicist charged with treason. The case files are classified. According to the court's database, the court hearing is scheduled for June 1.
As reported previously, Maslov, a senior researcher at the Novosibirsk-based Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ITAM), was detained in early July 2022 on suspicion of high treason. The 76-year-old scientist is known to be an expert in hydrodynamics.
