MOSCOW. May 25 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev on Thursday discussed cooperation and regional problems with the special representative of Nicaragua's president and counterparts from Myanmar, Bangladesh and Mali, the Russian Security Council's press service said.
"Nikolai Patrushev and Special Representative of the President of Nicaragua Laureano Ortega discussed a wide range of issues concerning Russia-Nicaragua cooperation at their meeting," the press service said.
The situation in the Asia Pacific region was on the agenda of Patrushev's meeting with National Security Advisor and Minister for the Union Government Office of Myanmar Yar Pyae, it said.
"Patrushev also exchanged views on the situation in South and Southeast Asia with head of the Directorate General of Intelligence Forces and National Security Intelligence of Bangladesh Hamidul Haque and discussed cooperation with countries of the Sahara-Sahel region with Mali's Minister of Security and Civil Defense Daoud Mohammedine," the press service said.
