Security services working to keep Russian president safe - Peskov

MOSCOW. May 25 (Interfax) - Russian security services know their job well and take necessary measures, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said commenting on a statement by deputy head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Department Vadim Skribitsky, who described Russian President Vladimir Putin as the "No. 1 target."

"The terrorist regime talks about its terrorist aspirations. The special military operation is more than justified, more than necessary, and it has to end with the achievement of the declared objectives," Peskov said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

As to whether the president's security might be tightened in this context, Peskov said, "Believe me, our security services know their job and know what they are doing."
