Russian Security Council secretary, Libyan national security advisor discuss Libyan settlement

MOSCOW. May 25 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev has held bilateral meetings with colleagues from Libya, the Central African Republic and other African countries on the sidelines of the 11th international meeting of high-ranking security officials, the Russian Security Council's press service said.

"Patrushev discussed aspects of a Libyan settlement with Ibrahim Bushnaf, national security advisor to the Libyan Government of National Unity. In addition, he discussed the situation in the Central African Republic with Central African Republic Minister of the Interior and Public Security Michel Nassin," the press service said.

Security in Africa was discussed during Patrushev's meetings with Ugandan Internal Security Minister Jim Muhwezi, Burkina Faso National Intelligence Agency General Director Omaru Yambre, Gabonese National Security Council Secretary Etienne Madam, Gambian Interior Minister Seyaka Sonko, Senegalese General Delegation for National Intelligence Commissioner Sheikh Saine, and Zimbabwean Central Intelligence Organization General Director Isaac Moyo.

"In total, Patrushev held 42 bilateral meetings and five [sessions of] multilateral negotiations on the sidelines of the 11th international security conference," the press service said.
