KRASNODAR. May 26 (Interfax) - The explosion, which occurred on Morskaya Street in Russia's Krasnodar on Friday morning, was caused by the fall of two drones, Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said.
"The fall of two drones is the cause of the morning incident on Morskaya Street in the regional center. Buildings are damaged, yet critical infrastructure is intact. Most importantly, there are no casualties," Kondratyev said on Telegram.
An investigation is in progress, he said.
"We will soon fix the damage and give necessary assistance to city residents whose homes have been affected," Kondratyev said.
An explosion at 54/2, Morskaya Street in Krasnodar occurred at 4:17 a.m. on Friday. The roof of a private house was damaged, and some windows were smashed in a residential building nearby.
