YEREVAN. May 29 (Interfax) - Two Armenian soldiers are missing, they could be in Azerbaijan, the Armenian Defense Ministry said.
"Contact with two servicemen of the Armenian Armed Forces, who were delivering food to military positions, was lost at 7 p.m. on May 26. They are being searched for," the ministry said.
The ministry is considering the possibility of the servicemen ending up in the Azerbaijani territory under unknown circumstances.
The Azerbaijani State Border Service said earlier on Friday that an Armenian sabotage group trespassed the Azerbaijani border and two soldiers were detained.
The border guards said that the other group members escaped taking advantage of the complex terrain.
In turn, the Armenian Defense Ministry said that reports of "an attempt of Armenian saboteurs to infiltrate the southeastern sector of the border are a sheer lie and are not true."
