MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - The Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur region and the Yasny Cosmodrome in the Orenburg region are being considered as launch sites for light and ultralight space rockets of the Russian private space company SR Space, formerly known as Success Rockets, SR Space General Director Oleg Mansurov said in an interview with Interfax.
"We may be using the Kapustin Yar range for trials, while the Yasny or Vostochny cosmodromes could also be used for regular launches," Mansurov said.
"We will have to build infrastructure of our own, but this can be done quite fast and cheap, considering that we operate in the ultralight class," he said.
The company can launch its rockets from mobile launch systems, among others, Mansurov said. This "has its pros and cons, and a final decision will be made later. That depends on many technical factors and aspects," he said.
