Putin not planning to address nation in wake of drone attack on Moscow area - Peskov

MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin is not planning to address the nation in the wake of a drone attack on the Moscow area, as there is no imminent threat to the local population, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"There are no particular plans [to address the nation] at the moment. We know that, thank God, there are no casualties. There is no imminent threat to residents of Moscow and the Moscow region either," Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

Reporters asked Peskov whether the location from where the drones were launched was known.

"I cannot tell you. This information is for specialists, the military and security services. I do not possess such information," Peskov said.

He was also asked about the drones' targets.

"I cannot comment on that. The only thing I can say is, obviously, this is an attack by the Kiev regime, and this needs to be clearly understood," Peskov said.
