MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - Out of eight Ukrainian drones, three were disabled by electronic warfare systems in Moscow and five were downed by a Pantsir system in the Moscow region, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
The attack "involved eight unmanned aerial vehicles of the plane type, all of them were hit," Shoigu said at a teleconference on Tuesday.
"Three drones were disabled by electronic warfare systems, lost control and deviated from their targets in Moscow," he said.
"Another five were downed by a Pantsir air defense missile and artillery system in the Moscow region," Shoigu said.
On Tuesday morning, Kiev "carried out a terror attack in the Moscow area. Please note that civilian sites were targeted," he said.
The Russian Armed Forces "give the harshest response" to operations of Ukrainian units, Shoigu said.
"In particular, over 70 Ukrainian saboteurs were killed and trucks and armored vehicles were destroyed in the counterterrorism operation in the Belgorod region on May 22," he said.
The remaining forces were pushed back into the Ukrainian territory and shelled, Shoigu said.
