Russia reserves right to toughest possible response to terror attacks on Moscow area - Foreign Ministry (Part 2)

MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - Russia reserves the right to the toughest possible response to the drone attack on Moscow and the Moscow region, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

"The Russian side reserves the right to the toughest possible response to the terror attacks perpetrated by the Kiev regime," the ministry said in a statement on its website.

"The attacks were planned and perpetrated by the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev, for which the use of terror attacks has become a sinister practice," the ministry said.

"Its representatives have long openly called for revenge strikes. Such attacks, which make no sense from a military standpoint, appear to target the civilian population exclusively, and aim to sow panic among civilians," it said.

"The West's support for the Kiev regime is pushing the Ukrainian administration into ever more reckless and criminal acts, including terror attacks, violations of international humanitarian law and war crimes," the ministry said.

"The assurances offered by officials from NATO members that the Kiev regime will not strike deep into Russian territory appear to be completely hypocritical," it said.
