YEREVAN. June 1 (Interfax) - A meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev began in Chisinau on Thursday, a representative of the Armenian government told Interfax.
"The meeting is being held on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit with the participation of European Council President Charles Michel. The French president and German chancellor will join them later," the official said.
The previous meeting between Pashinyan and Aliyev took place with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on May 25. Speaking in parliament on May 29, Pashinyan described the results of the tripartite meeting in Moscow as unsatisfactory.
Pashinyan had earlier ruled out the possibility of a peace agreement being signed with Azerbaijan in Chisinau on June 1.
