BERLIN. June 1 (Interfax) - United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken expects the leaders of the NATO countries to announce substantial support for Ukraine at the upcoming summit in Vilnius.
"At Vilnius, when the leaders meet for the summit, we and our friends in Ukraine can anticipate a very robust package of both political and practical support," Blinken said at a press conference in Oslo.
The NATO heads of state and government intend, in particular, to discuss ways to bolster the alliance's cooperation with Ukraine, he said.
Blinken said he also expected a discussion on Ukraine's membership of the alliance at the summit.
The NATO summit in Vilnius is due on July 11-12.
