Over 134,000 people join Russian Armed Forces from Jan 1 to May 31 - Medvedev

MOSCOW. June 1 (Interfax) - More than 134,000 people have joined the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces since the beginning of this year, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said citing the Russian Defense Ministry.

"According to the Defense Ministry, more than 134,000 people joined the Armed Forces from January 1 to May 31," Medvedev said during his trip to the Volgograd region, where he visited an all-arms military training range and talked to service members.
