ROSTOV-ON-DON. June 2 (Interfax) - Ukrainian forces shelled the Berdyansk commercial port on the Sea of Azov in the south-eastern part of the Zaporozhye region on Friday, a representative of the regional emergency services told reporters.
"The port has been hit. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or damage," he said.
The Berdyansk commercial seaport company resumed operation in the Zaporozhye region on June 30, 2022, after the port was demined. At present, the port mostly ships grain.
