YEREVAN. June 5 (Interfax) - A peace agreement may be signed with Azerbaijan before the end of 2023, Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said.
"Armenia and Azerbaijan are having very intensive talks. If this intensity persists and if there is strong assistance from the international community, there is a possibility of signing a peace agreement before the end of this year. We intend to sign the agreement as soon as possible," Grigoryan said on Public Television of Armenia.
Yerevan assesses the June 1 meeting between the prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Chisinau positively, he said.
"It's a good opportunity to promote the peace agenda. The assistance of the international community on this agenda is very important," Grigoryan said.
