YEREVAN. June 5 (Interfax) - There are problems associated with Armenia's membership in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said.
"Armenia's membership in the CSTO, of course, creates certain problems, but doesn't restrict our cooperation with other countries. We are intensively working with our Western partners on strengthening our cooperation on security and we will continue this work," Grigoryan said on Public Television of Armenia.
"It will be difficult to find an example of CSTO assistance to Armenia starting from 2020," he said.
"Since 2020, there have been three major attacks by Azerbaijan on Armenia, in which the CSTO did not give Armenia any assistance," he said.
Armenia has found an alternative, "for example, the EU Monitoring Mission," Grigoryan said.
"And only after that the CSTO offered assistance to Armenia. The so-called military bloc offers to Armenia a fact-finding mission after three attacks. It's not serious, to say the least," he said.
