Peskov says unaware of plans to declare martial law, mobilization in Russia's Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk regions (Part 2)

MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has denied knowledge of plans to declare martial law and mobilization in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions of Russia.

As fake reports alleging such measures appeared on Tuesday, reporters asked Peskov whether the Kremlin was considering "this possibility in general."

"I have no knowledge of that. Special services and the military are at work there, and measures are being taken to restore order," Peskov said.

Journalists asked Peskov whether there is clarity on the situation in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Belgorod region.

"Regretfully, I do not have such information," Peskov said.
