DUSHANBE. June 6 (Interfax) - Tajik Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Kolokoltsev have discussed the strengthening of interagency cooperation in the suppression of terrorism, organized crime and drug trafficking at a meeting in Gulistan, the press center for the Tajik Interior Ministry said.
"Migration and associated problems were also discussed. The sides highlighted prevention of high-tech crimes, including online currency theft and sponsoring of extremist and terrorist networks. They addressed the training of skilled personnel at schools of the Russian Interior Ministry, as well," the press center said.
The interior ministries of Tajikistan and Russia will hold a joint board meeting as part of the work plan to be fulfilled in Gulistan in Tajikistan's Sughd region on June 5-6, it said.
"The meeting will address the strengthening of cooperation between law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan and Russia in crime prevention in both states and suppression of extremism, terrorism, organized crime, drug and arms trafficking, and cybercrime. New cooperation agreements will be signed," the press center said.
