Russian troops control Berkhovka village near Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - Reports of the withdrawal of Russian troops from the village of Berkhovka near Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) are not true, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"The village of Berkhovka near Artyomovsk is fully under the control of Russian troops," the ministry said.

An attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this sector was successfully repelled, and the enemy did not penetrate Russian defensive lines, it said.

"Reports from certain sources about the alleged withdrawal of Russian troops from Berkhovka are not true," the ministry said.

On Tuesday, the Russian Defense Ministry released footage of, as reported, Russian servicemen driving around Berkhovka. According to the servicemen, no fighting is taking place in the village, and it is controlled by the Russian Armed Forces.
