Analysis of Kakhovka HPP's condition impeded by extent of damage - investigators

ROSTOV-ON-DON. June 6 (Interfax) - Investigators are looking into all possible versions of what happened at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, as analyzing the situation is impeded by the extent of the damage, a spokesperson for the Russian Investigative Committee's military investigation department for the Joint Group of Forces told reporters on Tuesday.

"Investigators of the Russian Investigative Committee are continuing to examine the site of the incident, [and] the location [where] the collapse of hydroengineering structures [occurred] at the Kakhovka HPP. Analysis of the situation is impeded due to the considerable structural collapse at the hydroelectric power plant," the spokesperson said.

The Russian Investigative Committee earlier opened a criminal case into a terrorist attack on the Kakhovka HPP.
