VORONEZH. June 7 (Interfax) - Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the Russian Belgorod region, has reported accommodating the Shebekino district residents, who had to evacuate because of Ukrainian attacks, in other parts of Russia.
"As of now, over 8,000 people are staying at temporary accommodation centers in five municipalities," Gladkov said on Telegram on Tuesday.
Some of them are in the Kursk, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga and Moscow regions, he said.
The first 20 tonnes of food, baby formula, essentials and household chemicals have been supplied to the Belgorod region, Gladkov said. The humanitarian trucks were sent by Moscow, the Moscow, Vladimir, Kursk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol and Tambov regions, and Tatarstan. "Over 100 tonnes more will be provided within the next two days. So, we are continuing to organize the operation of humanitarian aid centers," he said.
