MOSCOW. June 8 (Interfax) - A Bastion coastal missile battalion is practicing redeployment, the Russian Pacific Fleet said on Thursday.
"The troops and hardware deployed to the designated area and took positions for surface surveillance within the zone of responsibility of the Pacific Fleet," the fleet's press service said.
The battalion will practice full redeployment support, from en-route security to air defense, it said.
"Technical detachments are preparing missiles for the battalion within the prescribed time," the press service said.
"The training will focus on timing in changing positions, deploying systems and simulating engagement of a Bastion coastal missile system," it said.
