Ukrainian troops retreat, sustain losses after failed offensive bid in Zaporozhye sector - commander of Russian group of forces

MOSCOW. June 8 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces have retreated to their positions after attempting to advance towards Zaporozhye sector, having lost more than 30 tanks including three Leopards, Col Gen. Alexander Romanchuk, the commander of the Russian group of forces for the area, said.

"Having sustained losses, the enemy abandoned further offensive actions and retreated with their remaining forces. Enemy losses amount to 350 personnel, more than 30 tanks including three Leopards, and more than 10 infantry fighting vehicles," Romanchuk told journalists on Thursday.
