TALLINN. June 8 (Interfax) - The Estonian Police and Border Guard Board has revoked the residence permit of a pro-Russian activist, Zoja Paljamar, at the request of the country's Security Police (Sipo).
"The Security Police has repeatedly explained in public that using the existing principles of a democratic state ruled by law in order in Estonia to support a Russian policy aimed at segregation poses a clear security threat," Sipo's press service said in a statement on Thursday.
Paljamar was repeatedly asked to drop her support for a Russian policy which was "aimed at dividing society and posed a security threat," the statement said.
The woman has been banned from the Schengen Area for ten years. Paljamar is a stateless person and is currently in Russia.
Along with Alexei Yesakov and Sergei Chaulin, who were expelled from Estonia earlier this year, Paljamar coordinated the Immortal Regiment movement in Tallinn.
