There is currently no one from Ukrainian side in Russia's Belgorod region - Putin

MOSCOW. June 13 (Interfax) - There is currently no one in Russia's Belgorod region from the Ukrainian side, as Russian border guards and the Russian Armed Forces are operating there, President Vladimir Putin said.

"In general, not in the Belgorod region... There is no one there anywhere. Both the border guards and the Armed Forces are currently working there," Putin said at a meeting with military reporters on Tuesday.

"Certainly, there is nothing good about it [in the operations of sabotage and reconnaissance groups]. But one could in principle have assumed this - that the enemy would behave in this manner. And one could be and probably better be prepared," Putin said.

"The problem will be resolved," the president said.
