Russia boosts output of main types of weapons by 2.7 times over past year - Putin

MOSCOW. June 13 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the output of the main types of weapons in Russia has grown 2.7 times over the past year.

"We have had a 2.7-fold increase in the output of the main types of weapons over the past year, and a 10-fold increase in the most in-demand areas," Putin said at a meeting with military reporters on Tuesday.
