No need for new mobilization wave - Putin (Part 2)

MOSCOW. June 13 (Interfax) - There is no need for a new wave of mobilization in Russia, President Vladimir Putin said.

"There is no such need today," Putin said at a meeting with military reporters.

"The Defense Ministry says that, of course, there is absolutely no need for mobilization today," he said.

Russia currently controls almost the whole of Novorossiya (New Russia), a considerable part of the Donetsk People's Republic with access to the Azov Sea and Mariupol, practically the entire Lugansk People's Republic, and at some stage during the special military operation the Russian forces were close to Kiev, the Russian president said.

"Do we need to go back there, or not? Why am I asking this rhetorical question, it is clear there is no answer to that, I myself alone can answer it, but we must address mobilization issues depending on which goals we set for ourselves," Putin said.
