MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has no "excessive expectations" from outcomes of the upcoming presidential elections in the United States, presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.
Journalists asked Ushakov on Wednesday to comment on High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice President Josep Borrell's remark that no negotiations on Ukraine would begin before the U.S. presidential elections and that the Russian president was waiting to see its outcomes.
"They [outcomes of presidential elections in the U.S.] are certainly of interest [to Putin], as well as to any normal person. But there are no excessive expectations," Ushakov said.
