Main power supply to Shebekino in Russia's Belgorod region restored - authorities

VORONEZH. June 15 (Interfax) - Shebekino urban district head Vladimir Zhdanov has reported on the rebuilding of the town's infrastructure that was destroyed by Ukrainian attacks.

"Energy workers have already connected the main trunk lines, but problems remain in some areas where overhead power lines were damaged," Zhdanov said on his Telegram channel on Thursday.

Repair brigades are examining gas pipelines to further deal with the aftermath of the attacks, he said.

The water service company has already started centralized water supply to the town, Zhdanov said.

"The system is now being washed and disinfected, technical water is currently being supplied to residences. It is still not recommended for drinking and cooking," he said.

The clearing of construction and household waste has partially begun in the town, and retail outlets are resuming their work, he said.
