MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will discuss the development of bilateral relations and major international issues on Friday, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.
"President of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will arrive in St. Petersburg on June 16. In the first half of the day, there will be his meeting with President Putin, during which they will discuss issues concerning the work of the [St. Petersburg International Economic] forum, and, of course, the development of bilateral relations in general will also be discussed. Naturally, they will also discuss key international and regional problems," Ushakov told reporters ahead of the visit.
The two leaders meet quite often, he said.
"The leaders have forged trust-based and constructive relations. Their last meeting was also in St. Petersburg in the fall of 2022, and the UAE president is coming to us again," Ushakov said.
