Putin: We could strike any building in central Kiev, but there is no need as enemy unsuccessful on frontline

MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - Russia can strike any building in Kiev, but there is no need to do so, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"If we destroy five Patriot systems near Kiev, what's to stop us destroying any building or piece of infrastructure in central Kiev? There are no such limitations [on us]. We can do that, but we are not doing it for several reasons. There is no need [for this], that's the first reason. Because the enemy is not successful on the frontline," the president said at a plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
