Seven hurt in attack on Valuiki district in Russia's Belgorod region - governor

VORONEZH. June 19 (Interfax) - Seven people have been injured in a Ukrainian attack on the Valuiki urban district, Russia's Belgorod region, governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

"According to the preliminary information, seven people are hurt. This includes a child with a broken collarbone. Also hurt are a man with a closed brain injury, three women with shrapnel wounds, and a shell-shocked young woman. All of the patients are in condition of medium severity. Paramedics rushed them to the Central District Hospital. Another two persons with minor shrapnel wounds requested medical attendance on their own," Gladkov said on Telegram on Monday.

Damage was done to five apartment buildings and four private homes: windows are smashed and facades are scratched. A utility building is on fire at a household. Operative services are on site, and information about the damage is being updated, Gladkov said.
