Russia's Rosoboronexport to present naval weapons at St. Petersburg show

MOSCOW. June 19 (Interfax) - Rosoboronexport will present Russian naval hardware and costal surveillance and defense systems at the St. Petersburg International Maritime Defense Show (IMDS) in Kronstadt on June 21-25, the company's press service said on Monday.

"Rosoboronexport will demonstrate Russia's state-of-the-art naval weapons and coastal surveillance and defense systems to foreign partners," the company said.

Rosoboronexport "is a traditional participant and sponsor of the show," Rosoboronexport General Director Alexander Mikheyev said.

"We are proud of the Russian defense industry every time we present new products of domestic shipbuilders, coastal systems and naval weapons to our foreign partners," the press service quoted Mikheyev as saying.

This time, Rosoboronexport and other Russian exhibitors "will show visitors surface ships and submarines operated by the Russian Defense Ministry, Interior Ministry and Federal Security Service's Border Forces, alongside Zaslon and Mineral-ME shipborne radars and the Rubezh-ME coastal missile system," he said.

The company's booth displays models of submarines of Project 677E and Project 636, missile ship of Project 22800E Karakurt-E, frigate of Project 11356, corvette of Project 20382 Tigr, and coastal missile systems. Surface ships, submarines, support vessels and boats are on display on water, next to the exhibition pavilions, the company said.

Rosoboronexport "will invite foreign partners to the presentation of products of Russian enterprises and will tell them about industrial cooperation offers in the field of military shipbuilding," it said.
