VORONEZH. June 20 (Interfax) - Belgorod region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has reported multiple Ukrainian attacks on the region over the past 24 hours.
"In the Belgorod district, the village of Solntsevka was struck with artillery 23 times. No casualties or damage reported. In the village of Zhuravlyovka, the enemy dropped two mines and one grenade from a drone. No damage caused," Gladkov wrote on Telegram on Tuesday.
In the Valuiki municipal district, the village of Mikhailovka was struck 15 times with multiple rocket launchers, causing no casualties or damage. One artillery round fired upon the village of Sobolevka damaged the roof of a storage facility belonging to a local farm, he said.
In the Volokonovka municipal district, 15 mortar rounds struck the outskirts of the village of Stary, and 15 artillery rounds hit the outskirts of the village of Tishanka. None of these strikes caused casualties or damage.
In the Graivoron municipal district, ten mortar rounds hit the outskirts of the village of Spodaryushino, five mortar rounds were launched at the village of Gorkovsky, and three at the village of Poroz. No one was injured in these attacks, although the facades and roofs of three single-family houses in Poroz were damaged and some windows were broken.
In the Krasnaya Yaruga district, four mortar rounds hit the outskirts of the village of Repyakhovka, and two mortar and three artillery rounds struck the outskirts of the village of Vyazovoye. No casualties or damage have been reported.
In the Shebekino municipal district, nine mortar rounds were fired at the village of Balki, smashing windows in a single-family house and damaging a power transmission line. Six mortar rounds were launched at the village of Sereda. Two explosive devices were dropped from a drone, which caused no casualties or damage. Another five mortar rounds were fired upon the Shebekino automobile border crossing point, and one explosive device was dropped from a drone in the village of Murom. None of these attacks caused casualties or damage, Gladkov said.
The border territories of the Belgorod region have come under attack from Ukraine sporadically since February 24, 2022. There have been civilian casualties. The region has declared a yellow (high) level of terrorist alert and a state of emergency in 15 communities along the border.
