Ukrainian forces attack 6 municipalities in Russia's Belgorod region in past 24 hours, no casualties - governor

VORONEZH. June 21 (Interfax) - Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of Russia's Belgorod region, has reported Ukrainian strikes on the region in the past 24 hours.

"The village of Lozovaya Rudka came under mortar attack in the Borisovka district - 19 shells were fired. No one is hurt. Yet the shelling cut power supply to the village," Gladkov said on Telegram on Wednesday.

Fifteen projectiles of a Grad multiple rocket launcher hit the village of Kazinka in the Valuiki district, and air defense downed a hostile drone. There are no casualties or damage, he said.

Fifteen Grad rockets were fired at the village of Leonovka. No casualties. Fragments damaged two private homes: windows are smashed, and roofs, facades, fences and a utility building are scratched, Gladkov said.

Seven mortar shells hit the village of Stary in the Volokonovka district without consequences, he said.

Five mortar shells hit the outskirts of Poroz in the Graivoron district. There are no casualties or damage, Gladkov said.

Twelve mortar shells hit the outskirts of Vyazovoye in the Krasnaya Yaruga district. No one was hurt, and no damage was reported.

Five mortar shells were fired at Balki and Pankov each in the Shebekino urban district. Two bombs were dropped from drones in Sereda. Five mortar shells and eight artillery shells were fired at Murom. None of those localities reported casualties or damage, Gladkov said.

Border territories of the Belgorod region have been sporadically attacked from Ukraine since February 24, 2022. A yellow (high) level of terrorist alert was declared, alongside an emergency in 15 border settlements.
