Russia holds regular talks on delivery of Pantsir-ME naval air defense system, but no specific orders received yet - FSMTC

MOSCOW. June 21 (Interfax) - Russia counts on the vast export potential of its Pantsir-ME naval air defense system, but no specific orders from foreign customers have been received yet, the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) said in a statement on Wednesday.

"Talks on their deliveries have been held with our partners regularly. But it is still too early now to speak of any concrete orders received, the stages of their consideration and fulfilment," the FSMTC said.

The service said it counts on the "promising export future" of this system, as its ground version confirmed its reliability and efficiency during the operations in Syria and Ukraine.

The Pantsir-ME air defense missile and artillery system can be used on ships built by other countries and provides protection against all kinds of airborne attack weapons across the whole range of their combat use, the FSMTC said.
