Kremlin unaware of any Qatari peace proposals for Ukraine

MOSCOW. June 22 (Interfax) - Moscow has no knowledge of any peace proposals for Ukraine delivered by Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"I have no knowledge of any initiatives delivered by our guest from Qatar," Peskov told reporters on Thursday in response to a question about whether Russian President Vladimir Putin might discuss Qatari peace initiatives for Ukraine at his meeting with the Qatari prime minister.

"Mostly, this is a matter of quite broad and very promising cooperation between Russia and Qatar, as well as interaction in the international format, including common efforts to stabilize fair energy prices," Peskov said.
