BELGOROD. June 22 (Interfax) - Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Russia's Belgorod region, has reported Ukrainian attacks on the region observed over the past 24 hours.
"Artillery shelled the villages of Zhuravlyovka and Nekhoteyevka in the Belgorod district; each of the communities reported four hits. No damage was done. Six artillery shells hit the village of Shchetinovka. Also, the enemy dropped three bombs using drones. There are no casualties or damage. The village of Naumovka was attacked, too. It was hit by artillery six times. No one was hurt. A power transmission line was damaged," Gladkov said on Telegram.
Four communities were attacked in the Grayvoron urban district, he said.
"The villages of Spodaryushino and Kozinka came under mortar attack; they were hit 19 and four times, respectively. Ten artillery shells were fired at the outskirts of Ponuri, in addition to one at Glotovo. There are no casualties or damage in either of the district's communities," Gladkov said.
A mortar shelled the outskirts of Stary in the Volokonovka district; it was hit three times, and two grenades were dropped from a drone. Five mortar shells were fired on the outskirts of Tishanka. None of the communities reported any casualties or damage.
"Eight mortar shells were fired at Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Shebekino urban district. No one was hurt. A private house was damaged. The enemy dropped a bomb using a drone in Nekhoteyevka. No damage was done. Artillery hit Maryino three times. There are no casualties or damage," the governor said.
The border areas of the Belgorod region have been sporadically attacked from Ukraine since February 24, 2022. A yellow (high) level of terrorist alert was declared in the region, and a state of emergency has been imposed in 15 border communities.
