Info from different agencies needed to get true picture of special military operation - Putin

MOSCOW. June 22 (Interfax) - Primary responsibility for providing information about the special military operation lies with the Russian Defense Ministry, but other agencies also gather such information, President Vladimir Putin said.

"Nikolai Platonovich, I asked you to keep in touch with colleagues from different agencies so that we have a true picture of what is happening, of how different agencies that are taking part in the special military operation see it," Putin told Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev at a meeting with the council's permanent members on Thursday.

"Clearly, the main responsibility for this lies with the Defense Ministry, but nonetheless, information is also being accumulated in other agencies," Putin said, asking Patrushev to brief him on the issue.
