MOSCOW. June 23 (Interfax) - Allegations that the Russian military struck the positions of the Wagner group are untrue, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"All messages and video footage circulated on social media on behalf of Yevgeny Prigozhin about supposedly 'Russia's Defense Ministry having struck the 'rear camps of PMC [private military company] Wagner' are inconsistent with reality and constitute an informational provocation," the ministry said in a statement on Friday evening.
"The Russian Federation Armed Forces continue executing combat tasks on the contact line with the armed forces of Ukraine in the special military operation area," it said.
