MOSCOW. June 26 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces continued attempts to advance in the Donetsk, Krasny Liman, and southern Donetsk sectors in the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Monday.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces have continued attempts of offensive operations in the Donetsk, Krasny Liman, and southern Donetsk sectors in the past 24 hours," Konashenkov said.
Near Spornoye of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in the Donetsk sector, "defending units of the southern group of forces successfully repelled two enemy attacks," Konashenkov said.
"During the fighting, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' losses included 195 Ukrainian troops, two infantry fighting vehicles, six automobiles, and two U.S.-made Paladin self-propelled artillery systems," Konashenkov said.
In the Krasny Liman sector, the central group of forces used aircraft, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems to strike units of the 21st and 63rd Mechanized Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Nevskoye of the Lugansk People's Republic and near Terny and Torskoye of the Donetsk People's Republic, he said.
The actions of two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were thwarted near Kuzmino of the LPR, he said.
"Over 90 Ukrainian troops have been killed and three armored fighting vehicles, five pickup trucks, an Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, and a D-30 howitzer have been destroyed," he said.
In the area of the so-called Vremevka bulge in the southern Donetsk sector, the eastern group of forces used artillery and heavy flamethrower systems to repel four enemy attacks near Rovnopol in the DPR, he said.
"In the Zaporozhye sector, an attack of the 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was repelled near Rabotino of the Zaporozhye region," he said.
"In addition, the actions of a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group were suppressed near Mirnoye of the Zaporozhye region," he said.
"The enemy's general losses in said areas have amounted to over 150 Ukrainian troops, three armored fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks, and a Msta-B and a D-30 howitzer over the past 24 hours," he said.
"In the Kupyansk sector, the western group of forces used tactical and army aircraft and artillery to strike Ukrainian army personnel and hardware near Novomlynsk and Timkovka in the Kharkov region and Artyomovka of the Lugansk People's Republic. Over 30 Ukrainian troops were killed and two automobiles and two Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery systems were destroyed," he said.
"In the Kherson sector, up to 35 Ukrainian troops have been killed and three automobiles and two Msta-B howitzers have been destroyed in the past 24 hours. An ammunition depot of the 126th Territorial Defense Brigade has been destroyed near Kazatskoye in the Kherson region," he said.
